On September 6, 2025, at approximately 12:19 AM, Olmsted County Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call on Main Street North in the city of Stewartville. There, deputies found a vehicle occupied by four people including Abdirahman Mohamed Sufi ([DOB REDACTED]), Defendant herein. Defendant executed the vehicle from the front passenger door when Deputy Drown pulled behind the vehicle. Defendant demonstrated signs of impairment and nervousness. Defendant asked to leave the scene twice.
Deputy Drown told him he was not free to leave until law enforcement figured out what was going on. While Deputy Drown was verifying Defendant's identity, he observed Defendant throw something into the grass. Deputy Anderson retrieved the object which was a baggie containing a white crystal substance suspected to be methamphetamine. Defendant was placed under arrest. The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed.5 grams. Defendant was convicted of 3rd Degree Controlled Substance Crime in 55-CR-20-2916.
