On May 23, 2026, at 11:28 P.M., officers were dispatched to a residence in Bloomington, Hennepin County, Minnesota, based on a report of a domestic assault. When officers arrived, they observed an adult female, identified herein as "Victim," exiting the residence bleeding from her face. There was broken glass on the ground outside of the front door and in the entryway, and the front door window was shattered. Victim [NAME REDACTED] on her shirt, and there was swelling under her left eye. Officers spoke to Victim, who stated that her ex-boyfriend, NASIR AHMED ISMAIL [DOB REDACTED], showed up and started throwing rocks at her residence and banging on the door around 10:45 P.M. Victim went downstairs and argued with ISMAIL through the front door.
ISMAIL was making threats to Victim, and he also texted her threatening messages, which she showed to police. A few of the messages read as follows; - "Open up quick before you know what" - "So come out or I'm burning this b**** alive" - "Its 10:58 you got two minutes don't test me" - "Im fuxking [sic] you guys up and running west" Victim [NAME REDACTED] ISMAIL broke the front door window, reached inside, unlocked the door, and entered the residence. ISMAIL does not live at the residence or have access to the home.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] ISMAIL's parents used to live at the address, but he has not lived there since she moved in in August 2025. Victim [NAME REDACTED] on and off boyfriend since November 2025, but stated that he has only stayed at the residence on two occasions since that time. When ISMAIL broke into the home, Victim [NAME REDACTED] in an attempt to lure him outside because her two children were upstairs and she was scared for their safety. ISMAIL followed Victim outside, where he pushed her to the ground and kicked her in the head.
Victim tried to flee to the parking lot to call police, but ISMAIL followed, pushed her again, and kicked her in the head a second time. ISMAIL also took Victim's phone, but he later set it down and she was able to call police. Victim was transported to the hospital with her children to be evaluated for her injuries. Police used a K9 to track ISMAIL and found him hiding in a dumpster. ISMAIL had cuts on his hands and elbows, as well as blood on his shirt. ISMAIL did not want to speak with police.
Police observed that he was obviously intoxicated. ISMAIL remains in custody.
