On September 18, 2024, law enforcement executed a search warrant at the address of 911 East 21st Street in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Law enforcement also had signed search warrants for the person of Jesus Francisco Diarte Bracamontes [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, and Blue Jeep Compass the Defendant was known to drive. Throughout the investigation, officers learned the Defendant used the 911 East 21st Street apartment as a “stash house” for narcotics. The Defendant was electronically surveilled throughout the investigation.
During the surveillance the Defendant drove from the apartment to a truck stop in Rogers, Minnesota and directly back to his apartment. The Defendant was observed carrying two large duffel bags. A short time later the Defendant left the residence in the Jeep, and a traffic stop was conducted. Officers searched the Jeep and located: • Approximately 15 pounds (6,827.1 grams) of methamphetamine in smaller individual baggies in a backpack inside the Jeep the Defendant was driving (located on rear floorboard) • Approximately two pounds of meth (908.15 grams) in a bubble mail package • Ledger/documents • Three mobile phones A total of 7,735.25 grams of methamphetamine was located in the vehicle.
The Defendant was in possession of keys to access the apartment and told law enforcement he was using that apartment and described its location. Officers executed the search warrant on the apartment and located the following: • Twenty-seven- and one-half bags of meth (12435.67 grams) in a black bin located in the bedroom of the apartment. • 40 full bags of meth (8133.83 grams) in a black bin in the bedroom of the apartment. • A Black notebook located in the apartment • Mobile Phone • Receipts A total of 20,569.5 grams of methamphetamine was located at the apartment.
The Defendant is not currently in custody. Due to the large quantities of narcotics and indicia of large-scale drug distribution and sale in this case, the State requests the complaint be issued by warrant.
