On March 25, 2026, at approximately 4:57 PM, Officer Winter with the Rochester Police Department was dispatched to a store in Southwest Rochester, Olmsted County, Minnesota, for a shoplifting report. He met with loss prevention employees, who stated a man and a woman had entered the store at 2:07 PM and left at 4:39 PM. While they were in the store, the man and the woman placed items, mostly Nike branded clothing, into a cart, before leaving the store without paying for the items. Officer Winter reviewed surveillance footage and saw the male ran to a vehicle pushing a full cart after leaving the store.
The female waited by the registers until after he left, then exited the store and ran to the car. They then drove out of the parking lot in the same vehicle. Loss Prevention employees advised Officer Winter that the female suspect had applied for a store credit card while in the store, and her name was KALEAH RENEE PITCHFORD, [DOB REDACTED]. The male suspect had multiple distinctive tattoos on his head. On March 27, 2026, Sergeant Pankratz with the Rochester Police Department learned that Pitchford was associated with DYLAN ARTHUR LEEPER, [DOB REDACTED]. Sergeant Pankratz reviewed Leeper's driver's license photograph and determined Leeper was the male suspect with Pitchford.
The total value of merchandise Pitchford and Leeper stole on March 25, 2026 was $2,884.97. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE. FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR COURT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL CRIMINAL CHARGES BEING IMPOSED AND PUNISHED AS PROVIDED IN MINNESOTA STATUTES SECTION 609.49.
