On October 21st, 2025, the Blaine Police Department received a report of theft. D. H., "Victim" herein, reported that on October 18th, 2025, a gold chain and pendant were stolen from his bathroom counter in his residence on the 9500 block of Buchanan St NE, city of Blaine, county of Anoka. Victim [NAME REDACTED] only a few individuals, including KEVYN WILLIAM HANSEN [DOB REDACTED], "Defendant" herein, had access to the home. Victim [NAME REDACTED] is the son of Victim's significant other and has a history of stealing and pawning items.
Law enforcement reviewed Leads Online and learned that Defendant had pawned two jewelry items the same day as the theft at the Pawn America in Coon Rapids. Defendant provided certificates of authenticity from Helzberg Diamonds for both pieces which provided a total valuation of $4,398.00. Defendant received $1,501.50 from Pawn America for the items. Law enforcement confirmed that the items pawned were those reported stolen by Victim, and after reviewing surveillance footage confirmed that Defendant was the individual who pawned the jewelry.
Law enforcement attempted to contact Defendant several times, but he did not respond to calls.
