On January 3, 2026, officers from the St. Cloud Police Department were dispatched to the 500 block of 14th Street South in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns on a report of a person with a firearm. Officers met with E. F., an adult male victim [NAME REDACTED] in the police reports, who stated he was at the residence with D. S. K., an adult female victim [NAME REDACTED] in the police reports, when Jawaanza Osayande Jones, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, broke down the door with a gun. E. F. Stated the defendant racked the firearm, pointed it at everyone in the apartment, pistol whipped D. S. K. In the head, and told everyone else to get out.
E. F. Stated he left the residence so quickly that he left without his phone and shoes. E. F. Stated as he left he heard scuffling that sounded like wrestling. E. F. Stated he was scared for his life. Police made contact with D. S. K. Who would not allow police into the residence. D. S. K. Was able to provide E. F.'s shoes but was unable to locate his phone. Police saw D. S. K. Had an abrasion on her face. D. S. K. Told police nothing happened but apologized to E. F. For what occurred. On January 5, 2026, Officers were contacted by D. S. K. Requesting a standby as the defendant was at her residence with a firearm and had active warrants.
D. S. K. Indicated she would like to report ongoing abuse. Officer observed D. S. K. Had bruised eyes along with her eye socket on her right side of her face. D. S. K. Reported she had been pistol whipped approximately six times. D. S. K. Stated the defendant always believes she is cheating on him. D. S. K. Indicated on January 2, 2026, she was with friends at her residence and heard a knock on the door. The defendant rushed into the residence. D. S. K. Stated the defendant has two handguns one being a block Glock believed to be a 19 Gen 4. The defendant took one gun and pistol whipped her on the top right side of her head.
D. S. K. Showed the officer a ¾ inch laceration with dried blood on her head. D. S. K. Stated the defendant then left the residence. On January 3, 2026, D. S. K. Stated she was at the residence with E. F. And another friend when the defendant broke into the residence and believed she was cheating. D. S. K. Stated the defendant hit her on the right side of her face with the gun and on the back of her head in the middle. D. S. K. Stated after she was pistol whipped the defendant grabbed her and pushed her against the wall.
D. S. K. Stated the defendant took her phone and shoes. D. S. K. Stated she started to black out after being thrown against the wall. D. S. K. Stated the defendant left the residence which is why she did not initially report this to police. Officers were able to observe a ½ laceration on D. S. K.'s head and bruising and swelling near D. S. K.'s eye. D. S. K. Had visible bruising on her arms. D. S. K. Reported in the last six months, the defendant has punched her 20 times. D. S. K. And the defendant are family or household members.
