On December 24, 2025, at approximately 8:16 A.M., St. Cloud Police Officer Nathan Vossen was dispatched to St. Cloud Hospital, City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota. Officer Vossen was advised that a patient had assault a nurse who was on duty. Said patient was identified as DANO PATRICK WALLER [DOB REDACTED], the Defendant herein. The nurse was identified as K. J. K. [DOB REDACTED]. Video footage of the incident showed the Defendant and K. J. K. Standing face to face, then the Defendant attempts of punch K. J. K. In the upper chest/neck area.
K. J. K. Told Officer Vossen that the Defendant was agitated and K. J. K. Was attempting to de-escalate him. The Defendant had taken a pen and was stabbing the ceiling with it. The Defendant later takes that pen and attacks K. J. K. With the pen, including punching her with full force in her throat, when K. J. K. Tells him he cannot stab the ceiling and K. J. K. Needs to take the pen away. The Defendant then stabbed K. J. K. In the chest with the pen, puncturing the skin making it bleed, and scratched K. J. K. When he grabbed K. J. K.'s wrist.
Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that the above information is true and correct. The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above-named defendant, on or about the 24th day of December, 2025, in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, committed the offense described herein.
