He told police a girl named "Pinky" gave him the vehicle at the Little Six Casino, but admitted he knew it was stolen.
HILL was convicted of Auto Theft. ••-CR-••-•••• On 5/25/23, HILL was arrested driving a stolen ATV. He told police that he bought it a week earlier for $1200 and then spraypainted it to change its color. HILL was convicted of Receiving Stolen Property. ••-CR-••-•••• On 8/7/23, HILL was arrested in possession of a stolen UTV that he had spraypainted to change its color. He told police he took the vehicle from a former employer because he had not been paid. HILL was convicted of Receiving Stolen Property.
Current offense: On 12/17/25 at about 0244 hours, St. Paul Police responded to the Xcel Energy power station at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in St. Paul, Ramsey County on a report of a male stealing a four-wheeler UTV from the Xcel construction yard. The complainant, STS, is an Xcel Security Analyst who was monitoring security cameras in the yard. STS said the suspect was seen ramming the UTV into a fence and was last seen driving on Commercial St towards Mounds Blvd. Upon information and belief, the value of the 2016 John Deere Gator XUV 845M exceeded $5,000. Responding officers spotted the suspect driving the UTV on Mounds Boulevard.
Police activated the squad’s emergency lights and blocked the suspect’s path. The suspect, later identified as Derrion Deshun HILL ([DOB REDACTED]), stopped but did not comply with orders to shut off the UTV. HILL then put the UTV in reverse multiple times and tried to maneuver around the squad but was blocked by another squad. HILL eventually exited the UTV and was taken into custody. HILL had active warrants and declined to be interviewed. For purposes of Rule 6.
