On December 15, 2025, the Stearns County Sheriff's Office began investigating allegations of ongoing assaultive and stalking behavior. Officers spoke to the victim, [NAME REDACTED]T. (adult female fully identified in the police reports). Investigation revealed that C. E. T. That when she tried to end her relationship with Hunter Paul Klemz, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, at the end of July or beginning of August of 2025, the defendant began monitoring, threatening, and assaulting C. E. T. A pattern of stalking conduct began and continued from the end of July or beginning of August of 2025 until the defendant's arrest.
The defendant knew or had reason to know that his conduct under the circumstances would cause C. E. T. To feel terrorized or fear bodily harm and the defendant's conduct did cause this reaction to C. E. T. The defendant committed two or more acts of stalking, including, but not limited to: Count 3: Domestic Assault (intent to cause fear of immediately bodily harm) on August 16, 2025; Count 4 or 5: Domestic Assault (intentional infliction of bodily harm)/ Domestic Assault (intent to cause fear of immediately bodily harm) on August 17, 2025; Count 6: Threats of Violence on or between August 16, 2025 and September 29, 2025; Count 8 or 9 or 10: Domestic Assault (intentional infliction of bodily harm)/ Domestic Assault (intent to cause fear of immediately bodily harm)/ Criminal Damage to Property on September 1, 2025; Count 11: Domestic Assault (intent to cause fear of immediately bodily harm) on October 18, 2025; Count 13, 14, or 15: Domestic Assault (intentional infliction of bodily harm)/ Domestic Assault (intent to cause fear of immediately bodily harm)/ Criminal Damage to Property on November 26, 2025; Count 16, 17, 18: Threats of Violence/Domestic Assault (intent to cause fear of immediately bodily harm)/ Obscene or Harassing Phone Calls on December 14, 2025; Count 19: Domestic Assault (intent to cause fear of immediately bodily harm) on December 15, 2025 (Count 7) On August 30, 2025 reported she located a tracker on a vehicle registered to herself.
C. E. T. Reported two weeks prior she found a tracking device wired to the battery of her vehicle on or about August 16, 2025 and located a voice recorder inside the vehicle. She stated at the time she was still living with the defendant and he was saying things that he should not have known and was showing up places and knowing where she had been. She stated they got into an argument and she believed he removed the devices. C. E. T. However indicated she became suspicious of another tracking device on her vehicle as she was traveling to the MN State Fair.
C. E. T. Stated she began receiving messages from the defendant asking her where she was going and he made comments about showing up. The defendant then located her in Champlin, Minnesota. C. E. T. Stated she then went to her parent's residence where her father assisted in located a tracking device under the rear bumper of her vehicle. C. E. T. Removed the device and turned it over to law enforcement. C. E. T. Stated she was worried but did not want to get the defendant in trouble. (Count 12) On September 11, 2025, C. E. T. Again made contact with law enforcement as she again had concerns the defendant may be tracking her.
