On March 14, 2026, Deputies responded to a call of a person with a weapon at [ADDRESS REDACTED], in Cromwell, Minnesota. The reporting party, Z. L. B., [DOB REDACTED], stated he was a legal process server and was attempting to serve papers to Ricard Micheal Kriske, [DOB REDACTED], herein Defendant, and he pulled a gun on him. Z. L. B. Stated he was attempting to serve papers on Defendant as he was an agent for Sun Valley Real Estate Inc. And it was regarding a consultation court process. Today was his second attempt to serve Defendant.
He stated he came to the address and parked on the shoulder of the road and noticed a white van with a female next to it, later identified as Sarojini Daram. He asked Ms. Daram if Defendant was inside and she stated that he was. He asked her if she could ask Defendant to come outside as he was there to serve him and showed her his identification. She went and got Defendant and they both came out of the house and walked to the front of the van. Ms. Daram started video recording Z. L. B. And he called out to Defendant telling him he needed to hand him some papers.
That's when Defendant went in front of the van from the passenger side and had a handgun displayed. When he saw the gun, he dropped the papers and ran. Ms. Daram started saying "you're a threat to Richard's life!" Defendant first held the gun in his right hand at a low ready position and then moved into a two-handed grip as he was aiming the handgun right at him. Z. L. B. Stated Defendant continued to aim at him as he was driving away and he was ducking down because he was anticipating being shot at.
He felt at that moment that all he could do was get into his vehicle and drive away as he waited for gunshots to start coming. Deputies contacted Defendant by phone and Ms. Daram was in the background. Defendant explained that someone who claimed to be a civil processor came to his house but he wasn't willing to meet with Deputies as he didn't have time and was doing other things. Deputies could tell he was driving in a vehicle when they spoke with him. Defendant also stated the server took off without showing his identification.
He continued to refuse to meet with Deputies and stated he wasn't available until Monday. Duluth Police ultimately located Defendant near the Rose Garden in Duluth. When he was taken into custody he had a small silver revolver on his person that matched the description of the gun Z. L. B. Stated Defendant aimed at him.
