On October 7, 2025, a Maple Grove Police Department Officer received a report from a known adult, "J. P." herein, that her billfold had been stolen while she was shopping for lampshades on October 6, 2025, at HomeGoods located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Maple Grove, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Following the theft of her billfold, J. P. Learned her financial cards which had been in the billfold had been used on 10/6/25 without her authorization as follows: Michael's transaction for $506.00; Michael's transaction for $510.70; Speedway transaction for $255.95; Cub Foods transaction for $406.95; and Cub Foods attempted transaction for $306.96 (transaction declined). The Michael's, Speedway, and Cub Foods where the transactions took place are each in Maple Grove, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
Through investigation, officer(s) obtained surveillance video from the HomeGoods store on October 6, 2025. In this video, officers observed a woman, later identified as Darrianna Humphery, take an item from J. P.'s wallet. Video from HomeGoods was obtained and captured a suspect taking the billfold from J. P.’s purse on October 6, 2025. The suspect in the HomeGoods video was similar in appearance to the suspect obtained from Speedway. The suspect was identified as Darriana Humphery [DOB REDACTED], "Defendant" herein based on known tattoos also captured in the video.
The State requests this complaint issue as a warrant as Defendant is currently in custody at the Department of Corrections. Accordingly, Defendant is unlikely to respond to a summons in this matter.
