A sworn officer with the Cold Spring/Richmond Police Department duly states the following facts establish PROBABLE CAUSE: On or about November 03, 2025, at approximately 11:00 P.M., Officer Jessica Schnell conducted a traffic stop that ultimately lead to the arrest of Gregory Charles Tamble, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Officer Schnell observed a vehicle, bearing SUH337, traveling at a high rate of speed and she did not believe it would stop for a stop sign at the intersection of 14th Avenue South.
The vehicle hit the brakes quickly and stopped after most of the vehicle was over the stop line at the stop sign. The vehicle sat for a long period of time, then went into reverse, and backed up in the lane of traffic. The vehicle then sat for a long period of time with no other traffic. Officer Schnell initiated a traffic stop on West Wind Road, within the City of Cold Spring, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, for the driving conduct. The vehicle came to a stop in an apartment parking lot. Officer Schnell parked behind the suspect vehicle, as the vehicle had its reverse lights on.
Officer Schnell exited the squad and the driver, later confirmed to be the defendant, opened his door and exited. Officer Schnell asked the defendant to stay in the vehicle. The defendant stated no, shut the door, and continued to walk away. Officer Schnell advised the defendant he was not free to leave, the defendant stated, "yes, I am" and continued to walk away. Officer Schnell again advised the reason for the stop and that he was not free to leave. Officer Schnell grabbed the defendant's right arm.
The defendant tensed up, leaned into Officer Schnell, and continued to walk away. Officer Schnell detected an overwhelming odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the defendant's person, observed him stumble, and he had slightly slurred speech. The defendant was advised to place his hands behind his back, to which he replied, "get the f*** off of me." The defendant continued to pull away and pushed himself up against the vehicle to push against Officer Schnell. The defendant was advised he was under arrest and eventually Officer Schnell advised he would be tased if he did not comply.
The defendant was eventually detained. Officer Schnell asked the defendant for his name and he stated, "my name is I f****** hate you guys." In a search incident of arrest, the defendant swore at Officer Schnell with comments such as: I hope you f****** rot in hell, I f****** drove home, but you f****** c***, you f****** stupid b****, you are the worst piece of goddam crap. The defendant yelled to his girlfriend across the parking lot that they pulled me over from leaving a relative's house, so, f***, I'm in trouble.
