On December 4, 2025, the Maple Grove Police Department received a report of theft and use of burglary tools from Nordstrom Rack at [ADDRESS REDACTED] N, Maple Grove, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Loss prevention reported that a male was removing a security sensor off an item in the store. Loss Prevention sent a photo of the suspect from surveillance footage. It was also reported that the merchandise was concealed in a bag the suspect was carrying, and that he was joined by a female and then they left the store.
Officers responded to the store and saw the female leave the store, and a short while later the male from the surveillance footage leave the store with a bag and get into a car with the female. Officers stopped the car and identified the male as DANNY DAVID CHILUISA QUISHPE, [DOB REDACTED], “Defendant” herein. Officers placed Defendant under arrest and located a pair of wire cutters in his waistband consistent with the kind of tool that would have been used to remove the security tags from merchandise inside the store.
From inside the car, officers located the large bag Defendant had taken from the store and recovered the stolen merchandise. The value of the merchandise Defendant had taken was $197.85. Defendant is currently in custody.
