On December 10, 2025, at approximately 3:08 P.M., Metro Transit Officer Dongag responded to a robbery on a bus at Snelling Avenue & Dayton Avenue, Saint Paul, County of Ramsey. The bus stopped at Selby Avenue and Saratoga Street North. Officer Dongag entered the bus and met LDJ who was visibly shaken by the incident ( identified by high school identification). LDJ said he was recording the female suspect who was yelling at random passengers on the bus with his Apple iPhone 12. When the female suspect- later identified as MIYOKI ANGELA FREEMAN, [DOB REDACTED]-saw him recording her, she walked up to him, and took his phone from his hand.
LDJ and FREEMAN struggled as he tried to retrieve his phone. LDJ had a cut under the thumb of his left hand that was bleeding. LDJ also had a red mark on his right cheek. LDJ was so shaken by the incident that he could not remember his mother’s first name. Medics arrived and transported LDJ to the hospital. Officers distributed a photo of the female suspect. The suspect was described as Black female, blond buzzed hair, blue jacket with gray and blue stripes across the body, and black pants. At about the same time, police officers responded to a person in crisis call on a nearby bus on Marshall Avenue and Fairview Avenue.
A passenger told officers someone was trying to take his belongings. FREEMAN was on the bus and matched the suspect description in the robbery against LDJ. FREEMAN was arrested. Officers located LDJ’s phone on FREEMAN at the Ramsey County Jail.
