On December 1, 2025, Minneapolis police were dispatched to an apartment located at [ADDRESS REDACTED], Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota for an unknown trouble. When police arrived, the reporting party said the victim went inside a nearby apartment. Police went to that apartment and made contact with a female, Victim herein. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had a relationship with DALTON LEE ALLEN [DOB REDACTED], "Defendant" herein, and that they are now roommates. She said she and the defendant got into an argument and he started assaulting her.
Defendant put her into a headlock, and he started choking her while punching her in the head. She said this was not the first time this has happened. Officers went to her apartment to locate the defendant. No one answered, and it appeared no one was there. Later that same day, Minneapolis police were dispatched again to the same apartment complex. The victim [NAME REDACTED] in the parking lot of the building in a Silver Lexus. Police arrived and made contact with the defendant. Defendant was arrested and transported to the jail.
In a follow up interview with the victim, she told police that he hit her 10 times and put her in the headlock. She said she had candy in her mouth and she was choking on the candy while being strangled. She counted he punched her 12 more times in the head during the headlock. She felt that she was going to pass out and thought she was going to be strangled "to death." Her voice is raspy and sore. Defendant is in custody.
