At 12:51 AM on December 6, 2025, KEVIN DENNIS HASS [DOB REDACTED] and RONALD DARRELL VEZINA, Jr. [DOB REDACTED] went to the apartment building at [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County. Hass and Vezina loitered in the vestibule until a woman arrived and entered. Hass and Vezina entered the building behind the woman who looked at them with suspicion. Hass and Vezina both pulled their facemasks down allowing police to identify them. The two men loitered in the lobby and looked at packages and other items.
Vezina used a pry bar or screwdriver to try breaking into a rent payment box. Hass and Vezina entered the community room after checking for witnesses. Vezina used a screwdriver or pry bar to gain entry into the office. Hass assisted Vezina, and they eventually gained entry into the office. Hass left the office with what appeared to be a laptop computer bag, and Vezina left carrying a blue bag. The Public Housing Agency indicated it cost $980 to repair the damage Hass and Vezina did to the door. Hass was arrested on December 9, 2025. Hass was advised of his constitutional rights and agreed to speak to police.
Hass claimed he was in his Apple Valley apartment on December 6, 2025. Hass has 4 prior felony convictions: stalking, an OFP violation, theft, and theft of a motor vehicle. Despite having 14 bench warrants in the last 3 years and scoring a 14 on the pretrial release evaluation form, Hass was released on his own recognizance on a felony theft in Ramsey County District Court file 62- CR-25-7581 on October 10, 2025. Venzia has 11 prior felony convictions dating back to 1996.
