On February 9, 2026, at approximately 2346 hours, an on-patrol Officer observed a vehicle travelling southbound on West Broadway from 47th Avenue North in Robbinsdale, Hennepin County. The Officer observed the vehicle to be swerving in its lane of travel, drive in the opposite lane of travel, fail to signal a turn, and fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. The Officer activated the squad vehicle’s emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle. The vehicle eventually came to a stop, and the Officer exited his vehicle to approach.
As the Officer was approaching it, the vehicle accelerated away. The Officer began a pursuit of the vehicle which eventually came to a stop. The Officer approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as HEATHER JO MARSHALL, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. The Officer observed that Defendant was being non-compliant with his commands. The Officer removed Defendant from the vehicle and placed her under arrest for fleeing. While doing so, the Officer detected the odor of alcohol emanating from Defendant and also observed Defendant to be slurring her speech and have a poor sense of balance.
The Officer attempted to conduct a field sobriety test, but Defendant was non-cooperative. Defendant was transported to the Robbinsdale Police Department where she completed a field sobriety test. The Officer observed enough cues to ask Defendant to take a breathalyzer test. Defendant was read the breath test advisory and provided a breath sample at 0034 hours. Defendant’s breath sample registered a BAC of.33. Defendant is currently in custody.
