Your complainant is employed by the Fridley Police Department. In that capacity, complainant has reviewed official reports filed by Officer Massey and has learned substantially the following: On April 21, 2026, at approximately 10:51 P.M., Officer Massey was on patrol in the area of 57th Avenue N. E. And University Avenue N. E., Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota, where the officer observed a motor vehicle with excessively dark window tint that the officer was unable to see inside the vehicle. The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Marlon Lamar Thompson, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein.

The officer observed a holstered black semi‐automatic handgun lying on the front passenger floor board. The officer asked defendant for his permit to carry. Defendant provided an expired 2025 permit to carry.
