On September 22, 2025, at approximately 8:30 A.M., police responded to the bus stop at Randolph and Snelling Avenues in St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, on a report of two people using drugs. Upon arrival, the male was frantically picking up his belongings that were strewn on the sidewalk and the female was sleeping in an entry to Plum’s Bar. Police began identifying them to issue citations. The male’s identity could not be verified based on the information he provided. Police discovered that the female had an active warrant.
The male fled from police on foot. Following a foot chase, the male was apprehended. The male was later identified as DAJENVI TAKIYA POWE – [DOB REDACTED]. In a search incident to arrest, police located a small plastic baggie of suspected narcotics in POWE’s pants pocket. POWE told police that he felt like he was overdosing, and he was transported to the hospital by medics. Presumptive testing on the substance recovered from POWE’s pocket yielded a positive result for cocaine with a net weight of.54 grams.
