On April 16, 2026, at approximately 11:02pm, Coon Rapids officers were dispatched to [ADDRESS REDACTED] NW in Coon Rapids, Anoka County, MN, regarding a physical domestic. The victim ([NAME REDACTED]W.) reported that her husband, CAMERON IAN WALLEN [DOB REDACTED], the Defendant herein, physically assaulted her that night and in the past. Both had been drinking. K. L. W. Reported that during an argument with the Defendant that turned physical, he tried to take her phone and put his arm around her neck.
She said she did not lose consciousness but had difficulty breathing. She said he did not let go until their son intervened and hit the Defendant. Officers observed a large red abrasion at the bottom of her neck and the top of her chest, which she confirmed was from the Defendant's assault. She said she is fed up with the Defendant putting his hands on her and that she hasn't reported prior abuse because of concerns it would disrupt their family. She said the Defendant had given her a bloody nose just a few days ago.
After Defendant was arrested, K. L. W. Stated she could breathe and believed Defendant was just joking when he grabbed her neck. Their children heard the verbal argument but did not witness the assault. They also confirmed prior domestic incidents between her parents, frequent arguments, and that both are heavy drinkers. They further confirmed that Defendant had given K. L. W. A bloody nose a few days ago and that there was a prior incident in which K. L. W. May have suffered a broken collarbone.
When officers arrived, Defendant told them he had just gotten into it with his wife. He stated he had argued with her but that it never turned physical. He eventually became argumentative and refused to provide further details. As of the filing of this complaint, Defendant is in the custody of the Anoka County Jail. Based on a search of court records, he does not appear to have any prior criminal convictions in MN.
