On 06/18/2025, Officers from the Columbia Heights and Fridley Police Departments responded to a robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank in the City of Columbia Heights, Anoka County. Upon arrival, officers spoke with D. O. L. D. O. L. Stated he is employed by a company that repairs ATM machines, and on this day, he was repairing the ATM machine at Wells Fargo. While he was repairing the machine, he was pushed from behind by several males wearing ski masks. The males grabbed all the money from the ATM machine and drove away.
D. O. L. Suffered an injury to his elbow during the robbery. Nearby surveillance video confirms D. O. L.’s statement. The male suspects stole over $100,000 during the commission of this robbery. The suspect vehicle was located shortly after in a nearby parking lot with no passengers. It was learned the vehicle had recently been rented out of Houston, TX. The vehicle was searched and located a recent gas station receipt from Oklahoma. Surveillance video was pulled from the gas station and shows four males wearing similar clothing and footwear as the suspects in the robbery surveillance video and traveling in the same vehicle involved in the robbery.
One suspect was positively identified through DNA left in the vehicle. Review of the identified suspects social media shows pictures involving apparent evidence from this robbery. Stephon Jacobs, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the Defendant, is identified in the social media posts, which matches the identity of one of the suspects involved in the robbery seen on surveillance. The State requests a nationwide body only complaint warrant in this matter and requests that the Defendant be held in custody until appropriate bail and conditions of release be set.
