On December 26, 2025, Minneapolis Police responded to the apartment building at 911 - 21st Avenue South within the city of Minneapolis, Hennepin County on report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers collected a large kitchen knife from a hallway. An adult male, Victim, [NAME REDACTED], and officers observed a cut above his upper lip, blood under his chin, and swelling around his right eye. Victim briefly stated that a female named Debra Myles, aka STEPHANIE WRIGHT [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter "Defendant" did this to him with a knife.
Throughout the conversation, officers could hear yelling in the apartment Victim [NAME REDACTED]. At one point, Victim [NAME REDACTED] inside the apartment and shut the door on officers, who heard what sounded like someone falling down and two female voices arguing, with one saying something similar to "open the door, I don't give a f***." Victim opened the apartment door and officers located Defendant in the apartment and took her into custody. Victim told officers that Defendant came up to him while he was standing in the kitchen and began punching him for no reason.
Defendant punched him multiple times with a closed fist and he was "poked" multiple times by the knife in the face. Defendant was calling Victim "b****" and "nigga" while doing it. Victim [NAME REDACTED] has been in a relationship with Defendant for four years and she has beat on him most of the time and has stabbed him and hit him with a baseball bat in the past. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was describing the assaults Defendant has done to him. Witness 1 described Defendant attacking Victim with a paring knife.
Victim later pointed the knife out to officers in the kitchen sink. Officers took pictures of the knife and collected it. During the booking process, Defendant gave the name "Debra Myles;" however, investigators confirmed that was not accurate and cannot be changed because of the booking process and SILS numbering. Defendant remains in custody pending charges from this incident.
