Probable Cause

On August 16, 2025, at 2329 hours, St. Paul police officers observed a vehicle stopped in a lane of traffic, impeding traffic near University and Rice, St. Paul, Ramsey County. Officers discovered Dion Tyshone Jones, [DOB REDACTED], asleep in the running vehicle with the car in drive. Jones awoke and was disoriented. Officers could see prescription bottles without labels in plain view inside the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and discovered 108 M 10 pills, identified as Oxycodone, a schedule II narcotic.

Investigation showed that Jones did not have a prescription for Oxycodone. Officers obtained a sample of Jones’s blood pursuant to search warrant. The BCA Lab tested the blood and it showed the presence of Oxycodone.
