On January 14, 2026, at approximately 4:59 P.M., St. Cloud Police officers were dispatched to Target, located in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota on a report of a theft. Target employees reported that, Sekeriye Mohamed Saleban, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, had previously been given a written trespass from the store back on February 17, 2025 and he was currently in the store, concealing items on his person. Police responded and made contact with asset protection staff.
Officer Casas observed the defendant on camera taking items and removing items from his pockets. Police made contact with the defendant outside Target and past all points of sale. Defendant was taken into custody. During a search, police located merchandise from Target, Scheels, and Zumiez on Defendant's person and inside the backpack he was carrying. They also located drug paraphernalia. No receipts were found. While speaking to the defendant, he started to slouch in his chair. He admitted he swallowed methamphetamine and fentanyl so he wouldn't be caught with them.
An ambulance responded and took the defendant to the hospital for observation.
