On March 20, 2026 at approximately 10:43 A.M., law enforcement was dispatched to a financial incident at a residence located in the City of Sauk Centre, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota. Deputy Kyle Byers spoke with J. K. R., an adult fully identified in the police reports. J. K. R. Reported that he sold a semi truck and trailer to an individual, later identified as Joshua Tobyus Moen, [DOB REDACTED]. J. K. R. Stated that he was provided with a Chase Bank cashier's check, which his own bank rejected as fake.
J. K. R. Stated that he took it to Chase Bank, which also rejected it as fake. J. K. R. Noted that they with Moen the day prior at a bar to exchange paperwork. T. K. R. Noted that Moen listed his name as "Joshua Hagen" on the titles and listed two separate addresses numbers, "17967" and "17968." T. K. R. Provided a photograph of Moen, which Deputy Byers compared and matched to a DVS photograph. The check was in the amount of $130,000. Moen and the semi were located at a business at Sauk Centre. When law enforcement arrived, Moen fled the semi and was located hiding under a trailer.
Moen had an active warrant out of Clay County at the time of his arrest. Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that all of the above information is true and correct. The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above-named defendant, on or about the 19th to the 20th days of March, 2026 in the City of Sauk Centre, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, committed the offenses described herein.
