Kyle Dale Schommer

On January 7, 2026, Saint Cloud Police Officer Mitchell Kucala at approximately 6:47 P.M., was made aware that there was a Ford F150 Minnesota license plate [PLATE REDACTED] with an inoperable taillight driving northbound on 9th Avenue, city of St. Cloud, county of Stearns, Minnesota that was reported stolen. Officer Kucala observed the vehicle continue northbound until 8th Street North. At this point the license plate was run, which returned as stolen. Officer Kucala initiated a high-risk traffic stop, making a demand for the driver and the passenger to exit the vehicle.

The driver was identified as KYLE DALE SCHOMMER [DOB REDACTED], the Defendant herein. The Defendant stated that he had initial permission from the registered owner's girlfriend to borrow the car three days prior, but that he extended past that permission when he brought it to St. Cloud from Bemidji. The Defendant's license was also cancelled-inimical to public safety. Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that the above information is true and correct. The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above named defendant, on or about the 7th day of January, 2026, in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, committed the offense described herein.
