On December 13, 2025, at approximately 3:50 P.M., officers with the St. Cloud Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of 4th Avenue South in the city of St. Cloud, county of Stearns, state of Minnesota. At that location, officers met with Victim A (an adult female fully identified in the police reports). Victim A reported that her ex-boyfriend, HAYDEN JOSEPH DOOLEY, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, had just punched her in the face. Victim A stated that she and the defendant had been in an intimate relationship, and that they got into an argument earlier that day.
Victim A reported that the defendant punched her in the face twice and left on foot. Officers observed swelling and redness to the right side of Victim A's face. Victim A provided a statement to law enforcement. Victim A reported that she and the defendant were shopping together on that date, and that Victim A was driving the defendant around. Victim A reported that, when they reached their present location, the defendant asked that Victim A pull the vehicle over so that he could look at her phone.
Victim A complied. Victim A stated that the defendant became upset when he was looking at pictures on her phone. Victim A believed that he became upset when he saw a picture of Victim A with a male friend. The defendant then stated that he was going to call a friend to beat up Victim A. Victim A then began to call 911, but the defendant tried to grab the phone out of her hand before she could complete the call. Victim A was unable to make the call due to the defendant trying to grab the phone out of her hand.
Victim A reported that the defendant then struck her in the jaw twice with a fist. The defendant then left the scene. Victim A stated that she was dizzy after being struck and her vision was fuzzy. A review of the defendant's criminal history revealed that he was convicted of assault in the fourth degree on November 7, 2024, as set forth in Stearns County District Court file number ••-CR-••-••••. The defendant was also adjudicated delinquent for misdemeanor fifth degree assault on May 7, 2020, as set forth in Benton County District Court file number ••-CR-••-••••. Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that all of the above information is true and correct.
The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above-named defendant, on or about the 13th day of December, 2025, in the city of St. Cloud, county of Stearns, state of Minnesota, committed the offenses described herein.
