CRB said they fell to the ground with WHITE on top of her holding her down. CRB’s uncle, JDS, was sleeping in the living room and woke up to them fighting. CRB reported that JDS broke them up then began fighting with WHITE. CRB tried to break up the fight, and they separated. CRB said WHITE went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and said he was going to stab JDS. CRB went into her room and when she returned to the living room ten minutes later, WHITE was gone. Police observed multiple blood marks on the wall, what appeared to be a small knife mark in the door, and a small scratch on the gaming chair that could have been caused by a knife.
Following a Miranda advisory, WHITE claimed he did not understand his rights. When asked what he did not understand, WHITE said the part regarding lawyers, and he did not want his words to be used against him. Police did not question him about the assault, but WHITE said that he grabbed the knife to protect himself as JDS was much larger than him and sat on him. WHITE further stated that JDS told him that he 2 62-CR-25-9007 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 12/4/2025 had a gun in his car and was going to shoot WHITE, so WHITE went to the car first and broke into it trying to get the gun.
