On December 9, 2025, Thomas Joseph Cardinal, [DOB redacted], Defendant herein, was serving a jail sanction at the Anoka County Workhouse located in the city of Anoka, County of Anoka, State of Minnesota, after being found in violation of his probation in court file ••-CR-••-••••, a felony case in which Defendant was convicted of Fleeing a Peace Officer in a Motor Vehicle. Defendant was brought to Mercy Hospital for medical evaluation. Medical staff at Mercy Hospital informed officers that Defendant had been assessed but then left the facility.

Defendant did not have permission to go to any location other than Mercy Hospital on that day. After leaving, Defendant failed to return to the workhouse. Defendant was taken back into custody on December 27, 2025.
