On September 30, 2025, an officer from the Blaine Police Department received a theft report. The reporting party, N. F., stated that he had been on vacation for a week and upon returning he found that his Tapco Pro 14 Aluminum Break Tool that had been attached to his outside trailer was gone. The reporting party stated that video surveillance shows his trailer parked in the parking lot of Window Nation, located at 8862 West 35W Service Dr NE, city of Blaine, county of Anoka, Minnesota, and on September 23, 2025, at around 1:40 AM, a green pickup truck pulled alongside the trailer and is later seen on video with the tool in the bed of the truck.
On September 29, 2025, officers from the Blaine Police Department conducted a traffic stop of a green pickup truck. Officers reported that the truck was being driven by Rachael Devin Kenny-Harding [DOB REDACTED], Defendant Kenny-Harding herein, and the front seat passenger was Darrin John Hale [DOB REDACTED], Defendant Hale herein. Officers reported that during the traffic stop they observed a tool that appeared similar to the Aluminum Break Tool that was reported stolen. On October 3, 2025, Blaine officers spoke to Defendant Kenny-Harding who admitted to driving Defendant Hale in the green pickup truck to get the Aluminum Break Tool.
On October 6, 2025, Blaine officers spoke to Defendant Hale who admitted to being at the location with Defendant Kenny-Harding and taking the Aluminum Break Tool off the trailer and putting in the pickup truck. The Tapco Pro 14 Aluminum Break Tool has an estimated value of $1,500.
