On March 2, 2025, at approximately 8:30 A.M., police were dispatched to the area of 8736 146th Lane Northwest in Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota, on a report of a male slumped over in a vehicle on the lawn of that residence. Police found the running vehicle (a maroon Buick, MN BJZ716) and occupant as described. The front doors to the vehicle were locked but the rear passenger-side door was open. Police determined the male inside was deceased, with a gunshot wound to his head and dried blood on his head and face.
His body was seated in the driver’s seat, but his head and shoulders were tilted toward the front passenger side. Streaks of blood on the male’s face ran in two distinct directions, vertically down his face and horizontally to the side, suggesting his body was moved after he was injured. A fired bullet was also recovered from his head covering. Police saw unspent bullets on the grass near the driver’s side of the vehicle and one bullet atop a windshield wiper. There was damage to the vehicle, including a large hole in the driver’s-side window.
The hole appeared to be consistent with someone striking the window with an object. A cell phone was located near the deceased inside the vehicle, and an empty Lululemon bag was found on the decedent’s body. No cash, wallet or credit cards belonging to the decedent were found in the vehicle. The decedent, referred to hereinafter as Victim, [NAME REDACTED]. Police canvassed the neighborhood where the Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Some residents stated they heard arguing in the area at around 2:00 A.M. On March 2, 2025. One of the residents on Snowy Owl Street NW said they believed several males walked through yards toward an address on Tiger Street NW near that time.
Several fresh footprints were visible in the frosty grass, which were not present the previous day. In addition, video obtained from a front door camera at 8739 146th Lane NW from that time revealed what sounded like a gunshot, as well as multiple raised voices from the area where the deceased and vehicle were found. Headlights from the vehicle bounced as they went over a curb before coming to rest in the yard. Among other things, voices are heard saying, “Grab it! Give it here!” The vehicle’s headlights are first visible at 2:03:25 A.M. On March 2, shining down Snowy Owl Street NW to the south.

A photograph sent out at 12:59 A.M. On March 2, 2025, showed a black Lululemon-brand bag containing THC cartridges.
The last text communication from Victim was at 1:34 A.M. On March 2, 2025. A forensic examination of the Victim’s phone revealed Snapchat messages between the Victim and “karifrm612”. It appeared that any photos sent by “karifrm612” had been deleted. “karifrm612” sent a meet address of [ADDRESS REDACTED] NW in Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota, right by the location where the Victim and his vehicle were found.
