On December 16, 2025, at 1247 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to the 1000 block of Edgerton, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a report of domestic threats. Officers arrived to find two males out front, pushing each other. They were identified as the father, Lee Xiong, [DOB REDACTED], and his son, JCX, [DOB REDACTED]. JCX told police that he intervened because Xiong had threatened them, including his mother, SY, [DOB REDACTED], with a firearm. SY told police that her husband Xiong was demanding money from her and accusing her of sleeping with other men.
She and her sons locked themselves in a bedroom out of fear. She said that he had tried to strike her, but none of the blows landed. Xiong made threats that he would grab a gun and shoot them. Her sons opened the door and disarmed Xiong. JCX confirmed his mother’s account of the incident. He said that before he disarmed his father his father was pulling a shot gun out of the case. His father said, “This doesn’t end until there is bloodshed.” Officers recovered the gun and case in JCX’s room where he put it until police arrived.
Xiong declined a custodial interview.
