On 1/31/2026, at approximately 2:25 hours, officers responded to a possible domestic assault at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County. Dispatch could hear a female and male arguing in the background and a male saying, "you cut me!" Upon arrival officers entered the apartment complex and located the disturbance. Officers made contact with a female, Octavia Symone Erma Mason, [DOB REDACTED] (now referred to as "Defendant"). Defendant opened the apartment door only enough to show a portion of her body and stated there were only females in the apartment.
Defendant said there was nothing wrong. Officers eventually pushed past Defendant as they believed there may be an injured male inside due to the 911 call. Officers located an adult male, Victim SH, with a stab wound to his upper right arm along with three juvenile children in a bedroom. Victim SH did not want to talk about what had happened in detail but stated Defendant was his girlfriend and they had been dating and living together since March 2025. They also have two children together. Victim [NAME REDACTED] into an argument and Defendant wanted him to leave.
One of the children, age 10, said she heard her parents arguing from her bedroom and observed her mother (Defendant) walking toward the last bedroom with two knives in her hands. She later saw her dad (Victim SH) bleeding and went to the bathroom to get paper for him to clean the wound. Two knives were located and taken as evidence. One was located on the bedroom floor, and the other was found stabbed into a cardboard box in the hallway outside of the bedroom. Victim SH was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Defendant is currently in custody at the Hennepin County Jail.
