Cloud Police Department responded to a 911 hangup located on 16th Street SE in St. Cloud, Sherburne County, Minnesota. Dispatch advised hearing a woman yelling that there was an emergency and then the call disconnected. Dispatch attempted to call the number back and received no response. Officer Casas spoke with Victim, an adult female fully identified in the reports. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was the 911 caller and that she had gotten into an argument with her husband. Victim [NAME REDACTED], and her husband, identified as Mohamed Ibrahim Jama, [DOB REDACTED], obtained a knife from the kitchen and began cutting his own calf with the knife.
Jama told Victim [NAME REDACTED] called police, he would make police think that she stabbed him, and no one would believe her. Victim stated she began recording Jama, which upset him. He took her phone away as she was calling 911, and hung it up. Jama told Victim [NAME REDACTED] would not believe her, and then stated he was going to kill her. Victim asked Jama to stay calm and not hurt her. Victim described that when Jama made the threat, he used an over the head motion with the knife in his right hand.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] was very close to her and she was frightened he would stab her. Victim [NAME REDACTED], Jama grabbed her hard by the neck with his left hand, but let her go after she swiped his hand away. Jama ran upstairs with her cell phone and the knife. He then left their home when he realized law enforcement were coming. Victim [NAME REDACTED] in his vehicle, a black Nissan Altima. The knife was discovered in the bedroom with a small amount of blood on the tip. The knife was a yellow handled chef’s knife with a broken tip.
Jama was later located with his vehicle. Officer Gauerke photographed an injury to his calf and neck. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
