On 11/20/2025 at about 9:51 A.M., MPD Officer Ezekisoe responded to a wooded area of [ADDRESS REDACTED] West in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, MN on unwanted call. Upon arrival, Mpls staff reported that a male was inside a tent and refusing to leave the property. The staff stated that they had contacted the male days ago and left a written notice to vacate form so that the city staff could clean up that area. The stated that today when they returned, the tent is still there, the male inside is still refusing to leave, and he crumpled up the notice to vacate and threw it back at them.
The officer approached the tent, lifted a tent corner and contacted the male, then instructed him to leave so that the staff could do their job to clean. The officer also explained available shelter resources to assist him, but the male refused resource information. After ignoring multiple commands to leave, the male rushed out of the tent, formed fists and stated aggressively swinging his fists multiple times at the officer’s face and upper body. When instructed to stop, the male continued lunging and swinging attempting to strike the officer.
He was taken down to the ground, detained, handcuffed, then identified via standard computer checks as being Noor, Elias Mohamed, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Defendant has an active misdemeanor warrant out of Anoka County. He was transported to HCJ and as soon as he exited the squad car he swung at jail detention staff.
