Probable Cause
On November 29, 2025, officers from the Minneapolis Police Department were on patrol in the area of 3rd Avenue South and 27th Street East in the City of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, MN. Officers observed a blue Nissan Sentra parked on the east shoulder of 3rd Avenue South. Officers ran the vehicle’s license plate and discovered the vehicle had been involved in a felony theft and flee from Ramsey County. Officers then activated their emergency lights and approached the vehicle. Officers identified the driver as Lamarion William Teabout, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein.
Officers had Defendant exit the vehicle and took Defendant into custody. Officers then observed a silver-colored pistol in plain view on the driver’s side floorboard and would have been underneath Defendant’s feet. Defendant advised officers that he did not have a permit to carry a pistol. Defendant was then transported to the jail and booked. The Hennepin County deputies that searched Defendant discovered two small baggies of a rock-like substance located in an exterior pocket of Defendant’s sweatshirt.
The contents of both baggies were later field tested to determine the substance. The substances field tested positive for fentanyl. One baggie was weighed at.18 grams and the other baggie weighed in at.22 grams. Defendant was interviewed after being booked into the jail. After being advised of his rights, Defendant agreed to speak with officers and admitted that the firearm found on the driver’s side of the vehicle was his.
