On January 26, 2026, at 0316, Prior Lake Police Officers were on a call at Mystic Lake Casino, Prior Lake, Scott County, Minnesota, when they received a call of an Alert for a stolen motor vehicle, MN plate MNP461, driving southbound from the intersection of 140th St NW and Mystic Lake Dr. The officer confirmed that the license plate came back with an NCIC hit as a stolen 2006 Toyota Carolla entered by the St Paul Police Department. Mystic Lake Security Officers were able to locate the vehicle on the top level of the Skyway ramp.
The officer watched surveillance coverage of the occupants exiting the vehicle and observed three parties exit, later identified as: - Vanessa Ann Fierro, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the Defendant, exited the driver’s seat of the vehicle and was wearing a red puffy jacket with a light-colored winter hat. - KWT, Jr, [DOB REDACTED], exited the front passenger side door and was wearing a black jacket, black pants and red beanie. - DKE, [DOB REDACTED], exited the rear driver's side door and was wearing a white baseball hat and a white and black jacket.
Officer located the vehicle in the ramp. Dispatch confirmed the vehicle was stolen. Officers checked the vehicle’s VIN and observed that it did not match the VIN associated with Minnesota license plate [PLATE REDACTED]. The plate MNP461 was registered to a Toyota Corolla with VIN 1NXBR32E06Z702955. However, the VIN displayed on the vehicle was 4T1BK46K37U008725, which was registered to a black Toyota Camry with Minnesota license plate [PLATE REDACTED]. Dispatch also advised that the vehicle was showing as a stolen motor vehicle out of Minneapolis.
Scott County dispatch later confirmed that Minnesota license plate [PLATE REDACTED] was also a confirmed stolen vehicle out of Minneapolis. The Defendant was detained as she was walking back to the vehicle. The officer approached her and asked if she arrived in the black Toyota Camry and pointed at the stolen vehicle and she said yes. Both KWT and DKE were located in the casino. They both stated they did not know the vehicle was stolen. Officers searched the vehicle and located a black handbag on the front driver side floor.
Inside of the purse, officers found a plastic bag that contained a light tan, granular substance, which later field tested positive for methamphetamine, a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and weighed 4.3 grams, inside of its package. Officers also located Minnesota license plate # MNP-461 and several items of drug paraphernalia. Officer read the Miranda warning to the Defendant, who stated: She drove the Camry there. She said her boyfriend who put her in contact with a guy named “Juan” that deals with vehicles.
She doesn’t know anything other than his name was “Juan”. She got the vehicle from “Juan”. She was only going to borrow the car for a few days. She got the vehicle on 01-25-2026 at approximately 3pm. She did not know it was stolen. She thought the Camry was "Juan's". She stated she was just very high on meth. The Defendant was arrested and taken to the Scott County Jail.
