On April 21, 2026, law enforcement responded to a report of domestic assault near the 4400 block of Chowen Ave in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Call remarks indicated that the caller had been texted by a known adult female and asked to call 911 because her ex-boyfriend was on site. Call remarks identified the ex-boyfriend as KENNETH JAMAUL KELTON, Defendant herein. On arrival, law enforcement learned that a known adult female, hereinafter Victim, [NAME REDACTED]. Victim met with law enforcement and reported that her ex-boyfriend, Defendant, had been yelling outside of her apartment and kicking the door.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] on the bridge of her nose and her glasses were taped. Victim [NAME REDACTED] on April 20, 2026, Defendant had slapped her with an open palm across her face and broke her glasses. Defendant and Victim's shared children were present for the aftermath of the slap, in which they observed Defendant yanking Victim around by her shirt and ripping it. Victim reported the children were pleading with Defendant to stop before he threw her to the ground. Defendant was located on scene and arrested.
Defendant has several prior convictions that enhance this charge to a felony: - 2/05/2024 19HA-CR-22-2698 Felony Violate NCO; and - 12/08/2023 ••-CR-••-•••• Felony Violate NCO. Defendant is currently in custody.
