Alex Cortez Lofton

On March 31, 2026, at 0040 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to 215 Old 6th Street, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a report of a domestic assault. Officer spoke to DWH, [DOB REDACTED], who was transported to Regions Hospital for injuries including a significant laceration to his hand. He stated that he had been in the apartment of his girlfriend, Alex Cortez Lofton, [DOB REDACTED]. They got into an argument. She pushed him causing redness and bruising on his shoulder and neck. She grabbed pepper spray and sprayed him in the eyes.

She went to the kitchen and grabbed a six-inch knife with a black handle. He put his hands up to defend himself. Lofton pushed him out of the apartment. Officers went to Lofton’s apartment and arrested her. She declined a custodial interview. Video shows Lofton pushing DWH out into the hallway. He fell to the floor. Lofton dragged him further down the hallway and kicked him in the upper body. DWH is seen wrapping a shirt around his injured hand as he crawls along the floor. Officers executed a search warrant and recovered a kitchen knife and mace inside the apartment.
