On December 13, 2025, at 12:17 A.M., Saint Paul Officers were dispatched to a domestic assault on the 700 block of Jessamine Avenue, Saint Paul, County of Ramsey. The caller reported his ex-girlfriend-later identified as CRYSTAL ROSE SEELYE, [DOB REDACTED]-broke into the address where he and his current girlfriend were sleeping, and had a knife. SEELYE allowed officers into the apartment building when they arrived. JSD met officers at a nearby Dollar General. JSD said SEELYE arrived at the residence and caught him and another female in bed.
SEELYE went into the bedroom and started attacking him-punching and scratching him. SEELYE had a knife-silver and from a kitchen set- in her hand. JSD demonstrated how SEELYE raised the knife and made stabbing motions. SEELYE screamed that she was going to kill him and his new girlfriend. JSD said he was afraid. He ran out of the apartment to get away from SEELYE. SEELYE said he does not know the female who was in bed with him and met her on the night of December 12th. SEELYE is pregnant. JSD said she is his ex-girlfriend and he might be the father of the unborn child.
JSD said SEELYE is on the lease to the apartment and has keys to the residence. JSD said he made SEELYE leave the residence four to five days prior due to her drug use. The locks to the upper unit do not work, and he barricades the doors. In a subsequent interview with an investigator, JSD said he does not want to press charges against SEELYE. JSD had a scratch on his back from his hairline to his shoulder. He had scratches on the right and left side of his neck. Officers observed a silver kitchen knife on a shelf inside the door of the residence.
There was damage to the inside door, upper unit, of the residence. JSD said the damage was new. SEELYE was transported to Regions Hospital. At Regions Hospital, SEELYE spoke to officers. SEELYE said she went to the residence on Jessamine because JSD invited her. She entered the residence, noting that JSD barricades the door. She went to the bedroom, but the bedroom door was locked. She heard JSD tell the female in bed with him to get up multiple times. JSD opened the bedroom door and said, “Get out.” JSD pushed her down onto her buttocks.
JSD pulled her by her hair bun, and grabbed things out of her hands that she had been gathering. She was going outside by the west door when JSD kicked her. JSD left and she went back inside. SEELYE said she was unsure where the other female-Erika- was. SEELYE said she had ear pain, and the top of her head hurt. In court file ••-CR-••-••••, SEELYE was convicted of Assault 4th Degree-Peace Officer, misdemeanor conviction 06/09/2020.
