On November 16, 2025, Deputy Phillips of the Wright County Sheriff's Office contacted an adult male, hereinafter Father, regarding a criminal sexual conduct complaint pertaining to Father's eight-year-old daughter, born in 2017, hereinafter Complainant. Father reported that an incident between his children involving private spaces on the body prompted his wife, who is Complainant's mother, hereinafter Mother, to ask Complainant if someone had touched Complainant inappropriately. Complainant replied, "I can't do it." Mother asked if Complainant could say the name of the person who touched Complainant's private space.
Complainant said it was Tim. Father and Mother knew a person named Tim Rogers, fully identified as Timothy Alexander Rogers [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant, when they lived in Wright County, Minnesota. Father was at work when this disclosure to Mother occurred. Mother called Father and Complainant asked to speak with Father, who was recording the phone call. Complainant disclosed that Defendant would tongue kiss Complainant, Defendant would have Complainant grab Defendant's genitals and squeeze until Defendant made funny noises, Defendant put his pointer finger into Complainant's vagina, Defendant kissed Complainant's vagina, Defendant put his fingers in and around Complainant's vagina, the two would cuddle in bed naked at Defendant's house, and Defendant had Complainant kiss Defendant's genitals.
These disclosures were in response to questions from Father. Father stated that Defendant became a family friend in 2023. Defendant would frequently stop at their residence and assisted Complainant in taking Complainant to gymnastics and with Complainant's gymnastics training, as Defendant said he had assisted in youth gymnastics. Father believed that the incident at Defendant's house occurred when Defendant picked Complainant up to take Complainant to Goodwill. Father and Mother became suspicious of Defendant after observing odd behavior, such as sitting very close to Complainant on their couch, and ended the friendship with Defendant on June 24, 2024, via a text message to Defendant.
Contact between Defendant and Complainant would have occurred between April 10, 2023 and April 14, 2024. The incidents of sexual abuse would have occurred at the family residence in Wright County, Minnesota, and at Defendant's residence in Wright County, Minnesota. Detective Bailey of the Wright County Sheriff's Office was assigned to the case for further investigation. A forensic interview of Complainant was conducted on December 9, 2025. Complainant disclosed the following: Complainant was between five and seven years old when she met Tim, meaning Defendant; Defendant lives in Minnesota and was nice to Complainant; Defendant hurt Complainant in a lot of ways; Defendant put his pointer finger in Complainant's vagina; It went deep inside and it hurt; Defendant asked if it was okay; Complainant wanted to say no but accidentally said yes; Complainant also held Defendant's penis; This happened at Defendant's house when Defendant told Complainant's parents that he was taking Complainant to Goodwill; Defendant said he need to get some stuff and forgot his wallet at his house; Defendant brought Complainant to his bedroom while Defendant's wife was in her bedroom, which was separate; Defendant removed his clothes and told Complainant to remove her clothes; Complainant removed her "overclothes" but left her panties on because she was afraid; Defendant said that was fine; They watched Tik Tok in Defendant's bed; Defendant showed photos of Defendant and his wife while nude; Complainant thought Defendant took video of Complainant; At one point Defendant's wife knocked on the door; Defendant told Complainant she would get in trouble if she told anyone; Other incidents took place at Complainant's house; Defendant went into the bathroom with Complainant; Complainant removed her pants and panties; Defendant tongue kissed Complainant's vagina; Complainant was standing and Defendant was bent over with his hands on Complainant's hips when he kissed Complainant's vagina; On a different occasion, in the gymnastics area of Complainant's house, Defendant told Complainant to remove her underwear; Defendant put his finger inside of Complainant; In another incident, Complainant kissed Defendant's penis after Defendant told Complainant to do so; The first time Defendant did "bad stuff," Complainant was sitting on a chair in her gymnastics area; Complainant was wearing a dress but not wearing underwear; Defendant said he was about to do something and not to tell anyone about it; Complainant felt Defendant's finger inside of her; It was a stinging feeling; Complainant was scared to tell Defendant to take his finger out because of Defendant's size; 2 86-CR-26-330 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 1/16/2026 Defendant told Complainant to hold Defendant's penis, and Complainant did so; "Wet" came out of Defendant's penis, onto Complain.
