On 01/02/2026 at 04:32, Shakopee Police Officers were on patrol in the parking lot of Holiday at [ADDRESS REDACTED], Shakopee, Scott County, Minnesota, when the officer saw a vehicle parked by the front of the store that was running and occupied by two individuals. The registered owner, Audra Celeste Carman, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the Defendant, was associated with a variety of law enforcement contacts throughout the metro area. The officer parked next to the vehicle and saw the front seat passenger, later identified as DJD, [DOB REDACTED], appeared to be asleep but was woken by the officer's presence.
The driver, later identified as the Defendant rolled down the window. The Defendant said they had been at the casino, and she had been sitting in the car playing a game on her phone. The officer noticed a small bag on DJD's lap that was lined with a white substance. The officer saw that DJD's pupils seemed restricted. The officer asked DJD about the bag and asked if it was "up" (methamphetamine) or "fetty (fentanyl). DJD picked up the bag, claimed it was empty, and began grinding the bag between his fingers.
The officer told DJD not destroy it, asked if he could see it, and he voluntarily handed it to the officer. DJD eventually stated that it was most likely fentanyl. The substance later field tested positive for fentanyl, a Schedule I Controlled Substance. The officer had the Defendant exit the vehicle. She stated she was an acquaintance of DJD. The Defendant stated there shouldn't be any drugs in the vehicle and the police should just search DJD. Officers searched the vehicle and found: Inside the Defendant's purse was an open sunglass case that had a hypodermic needle loaded with a clear liquid.
The liquid later field tested positive for methamphetamine, a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and weighed approximately.5 grams. The Defendant was taken to the Scott County Jail, booked and released.
