On 12/14/25 at about 1114 hours, St. Paul Police took a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The vehicle’s owner, JSG, said his black 2013 Volkswagen Jetta (MN/PZR676) was parked, warming up, outside [ADDRESS REDACTED] in St. Paul, Ramsey County and someone stole it. According to Carfax.com the average value of a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta is $7,107. About two hours later, St. Paul Police responded to the same address. JSG reported that he found the stolen vehicle parked in the same spot from which it was stolen.
According to JSG, after discovering the vehicle missing, he walked to a nearby store to report it stolen. When he walked back to [ADDRESS REDACTED], he saw that the vehicle was back. Sitting in the driver’s seat was a female; later identified as Kaitlin Jane DELMORE [DOB REDACTED]. LSG confronted DELMORE. DELMORE said someone gave her the key to the vehicle and that she was looking for something in the vehicle. DELMORE then exited the vehicle and walked down to [ADDRESS REDACTED]. JSG stayed with the vehicle and called police.
Police went to [ADDRESS REDACTED] and found DELMORE in the alley behind the address. DELMORE was detained and positively identified by JSG. DELMORE admitted to police that she stole the vehicle and then drove it back to the same location. DELMORE said she did not know where she put the keys. In a post-Miranda statement, DELMORE said she saw the car running and decided to get in. DELMORE said she drove the vehicle to Plymouth and then drove back to St. Paul.
