Your complainant is an Officer with the Blooming Prairie Police Department. Investigation has revealed that on December 18, 2025 at around 4:56 pm, Officer Belich was dispatched to the location of 338 2 St SE, Blooming Prairie, County of Steele, for a domestic. Dispatch advised that an Eric James Fisher ([DOB redacted]) was trying to take the reporting party's keys from her. Dispatch also advised that Eric threatened to kill the reporting party (RP). Dispatch advised that Eric was wearing a green jacket and brown pants.
When Officer Belich turned onto 3 St SE from Highway Ave South, Officer Belich observed a male matching the suspect description at the south entrance to Casey's. Officer Belich pulled up next to the male in his squad car. Officer Belich looked at the male and saw it was Eric. Eric looked at Officer Belich and kept walking. Officer Belich exited his squad car and yelled "Eric" several times as Officer Belich was walking towards him. Eric wouldn't turn around or stop. Officer Belich then told Eric several times to stop.
Eric then turned around and looked at Officer Belich. Eric then turned back away and tried to walk away. Officer Belich reached out and grabbed Eric's arm. Eric then ripped his arm from out of Officer Belich's hands and began to pull away. Eric even used both of his hands to prevent Officer Belich from grabbing onto him. Officer Belich continued to repeat 'stop' to Eric. Officer Belich advised Eric he was being detained for a domestic incident. Eric then began to push Officer Belich away.and reach out towards me.
Officer Belich advised Eric to get down on the ground. Officer Belich then pulled myself to the ground to help assist Eric to the ground. While on the ground Officer Belich attempted to gain control of Eric and place his arms behind his back. Eric continued to resist for several minutes and refused to comply with Officer Belich's commands. Officer Belich eventually got Eric back to a standing position and waited for back up. After around 4 minutes of Eric resisting arrest, 2 men from two different vehicles nearby me, asked Officer Belich if they could help.
The men came over, and Officer Belich gave them instructions to help him get Eric's hands behind his back. After a short while of Eric still pulling away, moving around, and preventing Officer Belich from handcuffing him, Officer Belich advised the men to help bring Eric back to the ground to better restrain Eric. Officer Belich used 2 handcuffs to restrain Eric. Officer Belich transported Eric to the Steele County Jail. Officer Belich eventually went to R. P.'s house to interview her. R. P. Advised, Her and Eric live together, are in a relationship, and have a child together.
R. P. Began to state how she arrived home from work and got into an argument with Eric in the kitchen. Eric was drunk. She then said that Eric made the comment "I'm going to kill you". R. P. Said Eric then took his finger and swiped it across his throat in a "slitting the throat" type motion. Eric then said he wanted to hit her, and proceeded to grab a cooking pan, and lifted it up. The pan then poured dirty contents onto Eric and he set the pan down. Eric made the comment of "I'm going to twist your s*** up". Eric Fisher was previously convicted of Misd. 5th Deg.
