On or about April 20, 2026 at approximately 5:00 P.M., Robbinsdale police officers on routine patrol received a flock alert indicating that there was a stolen vehicle traveling southbound on County Road 81 just past 41st Avenue North in Robbinsdale, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The flock alert was for a black Dodge Journey with Minnesota license plate [PLATE REDACTED] (“the Dodge” herein). Officers drove to the location of the flock hit and saw the Dodge driving westbound on 35th Avenue North. Officers observed a white male, later identified as CAMRON MICHAEL PEIRCE (“Defendant” herein) in the driver’s seat and a white female, later identified as M. W., sitting in the front passenger seat.
Officers turned on their emergency lights to stop the Dodge. The Dodge accelerated away from officers, drove through the parking lot of a HyVee gas station, and then out onto 36th Avenue North. Officers pursued as the Dodge drove westbound on 36th Avenue North. The Dodge drove at speeds around 90 MPH. The Dodge took the ramp onto Highway 100 and continued northbound at approximately 80 MPH, passing light traffic. The Dodge then exited on County Road 81. The Dodge briefly slowed, and officers were able to see the driver and passenger.
The Dodge accelerated again and drove northbound on County Road 81 at speeds ranging from 65 MPH to 85 MPH. The Dodge drove on the right shoulder and passed other vehicles driving on County Road 81. The Dodge continued driving and entered highway 169. The Dodge accelerated to speeds of approximately 80 MPH to 100 MPH. Officers observed vehicles yielding to the Dodge. As the Dodge approached 117th Avenue North, officers decided to terminate pursuit due to heavy traffic. Officers saw the Dodge turn eastbound on 120th Avenue North and then lost sight of the Dodge.
Shortly after the termination of the pursuit, Champlin officers advised that the Dodge was parked unoccupied behind a Target store. The asset protection team from Target provided officers with CCTV footage, which showed two people fleeing out of the Dodge after it stopped. The driver who fled from the Dodge was a white male wearing a dark jacket and light-colored pants. At approximately 5:25 P.M., Champlin officers located two individuals who matched the description of those seen fleeing the Dodge on Target’s CCTV footage.
Champlin officers identified these suspects as Defendant and M. W. Robbinsdale officers who were involved in the initial pursuit confirmed that Defendant is the person they saw driving the Dodge. Officers detained Defendant and M. W. After running routine checks, officers learned that Defendant’s driver’s license was revoked at the time of the flee. M. W. Admitted to officers that she had been in the Dodge, and Defendant was driving. M. W. Stated she was scared and she kept telling Defendant to pull over.
