On 04/02/2026 at 1947 hours, St. Paul Police responded to apartment #101 at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in St. Paul, Ramsey County on a report of an assault. Police arrived and encountered ADS coming out of the apartment building. ADS had major swelling to her forehead and swelling on the side of her head near her temple. ADS also had a lump and blood on the back of her head. ADS said she felt like she had a concussion and was feeling nauseous. ADS said she was in apartment #102 and heard a commotion in apartment #101. She entered #101 and saw Crystal Alicia COLLINS (DOB/1977-08-28) assaulting her female friend; KMG. ADS said COLLINS was on top of KMG punching her.
ADS said she grabbed a chair and hit COLLINS in the back, but COLLINS continued assaulting KMG. She said COLLINS then grabbed a black object and hit ADS on the forehead which caused her to fall to the ground. COLLINS then hit ADS on the side of her head with the object. ADS said COLLINS hit her about four times with the object, which caused ADS to blackout. Police spoke to the original caller, MT, who said he was in #102 with ADS. Someone knocked on the door and ADS went out in the hallway. ADS then went into #101 and MT heard a lot of screaming, including ADS yelling "stop" and "no." Police also spoke to LB who was in #101. She said COLLINS was the primary aggressor and was going after everyone in the apartment.
COLLINS told police that there was a mutual fight and ADS fell over and hit her forehead on a corner of a wall. After being Mirandized, COLLINS said went to #101 to check on her boyfriend. Three females were inside doing narcotics. COLLINS was upset and told the people to leave. She then got into an argument with a female who had braids and it turned into a physical fight. She said they both fell to the floor and then ADS came up behind her and threw something at her. COLLINS initially said that when she walked toward ADS, ADS ran for the apartment door, tripped, and hit her face on the wall.
COLLINS then said she hit ADS several times before ADS hit her face on the wall and hit ADS after ADS hit her face on the wall. COLLINS denied hitting ADS with an object. COLLINS was arrested. During a search incident to arrest, police found metal knuckles in one of her pants pockets. COLLINS did not have an explanation for possessing the metal knuckles.
