On February 3, 2025, around 1:59 P.M., law enforcement was dispatched to Holiday gas station located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] NE, Fridley, Anoka County, on an employee theft report. The reporting party, M. M., the manager of the gas station, told law enforcement that some of the store’s state lottery tickets had gone missing, and after an internal investigation, they discovered that an employee, Jeanette Diane Strom [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein, had been taking lottery tickets from the store during her shifts at the gas station between January 15, 2025, and January 31, 2025. The value of the lottery tickets taken is estimated to be $741.00. Some of the lottery tickets were winning tickets that were cashed at the store in the amount of $178.00. On February 6, 2025, Holiday gas station terminated defendant’s employment after the internal investigation.
In the exit interview with Holiday gas station, M. M. Told law enforcement that defendant admitted to stealing the lottery tickets and redeeming the winning tickets while she was working.
