On December 5, 2024, a city of Edina Police Department Detective received a Cybertip provided by the social application Kik, which reported several files consisting of pornographic works involving minors downloaded through the application. The detective drafted a search warrant for administrative records related to the Cybertip in order to obtain the images and to show who the Kik account belonged to. The detective confirmed ten files from Kik that constitutes pornographic works involving minors.
Through administrative subpoenas to CenturyLink, the detective learned that the Kik account was associated with a male, identified as RYAN JOSEPH NOBLES, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant. The detective also learned that Defendant resided on the 3200 block of Southdale Circle, in the city of Edina, in Hennepin County, in the state of Minnesota. On February 13, 2025, officers arrested Defendant at his place of employment, located at 4900 78th St., in the city of Bloomington, in Hennepin County, in the state of Minnesota.
Officers seized Defendant’s cell phone. Later that day, officers searched Defendant’s residence, where they seized additional electronic devices consisting of several hard drives, USB drives, iPads, and computer towers. During a forensic examination of Defendant’s cell phone and one of the iPads, an officer located 83 files constituting child [NAME REDACTED]. Descriptions of two of the files area as follows, corresponding to each count of the complaint: 1) 2ca6-4562-860d2b4c5b893619/chatVids/06785beb-fd0b-4ffc-9d41-a413e87b2e78.mp4 Date created/modified: 12/26/2023 5:06:27 PM(UTC-6) File Description: Video is 44 seconds in length.
Video is of a prepubescent female (approximately 6-7 years old) lying on her back fully nude. An adult male is on his knees and have sexual intercourse with the young female. 2) 73af57afe1db/cache/chatVids/0130d3d1-3a93-4c70-9457- c84e66f475dc.mp4 Date Modified: 12/25/2023 10:51:49 AM(UTC-6) File Description: Video is 12 seconds in length. Video is of a prepubescent female (approximately 5-6 years old) who is fully nude and kneeling. A male with an erect penis is masturbating and ejaculates on the face of the girl.
Defendant is out of custody.
