On or about April 1, 2026, at approximately 5:58 A.M., Minneapolis police responded to a threats call at an apartment building on the 400 block of 7th Avenue South in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The reporting party, C. S. (“Victim” herein) reported that the resident of a unit near hers, JOSHUA CRAIG REED (“Defendant” herein) had threatened her. Victim stated Defendant ran down the hallway towards her yelling, “I’m gonna f*** you up!” Victim was afraid and thought Defendant might do something violent, so she ran into the trash room.
Defendant blocked the door so Victim could not get out and yelled obscenities at her. Victim threatened to call the police, and Defendant moved away from the door. Victim exited the trash room and walked towards her apartment, but Defendant followed her down the hallway, yelling at her. Victim entered her apartment and locked her door. Defendant stood outside of her apartment door yelling for a few minutes before finally leaving. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had had issues with Defendant over the past year, but he had never been this threatening or violent before.
Later that same day, around 5:00 P.M., Minneapolis police again responded to a threats call from the same apartment building. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had been walking her dog and, when she entered the apartment building to take the elevator back upstairs, Defendant yelled at her, “I’m going to f*** you up” twice. Victim was again terrified by this remark, so she went directly to the security office to call police. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was afraid to leave her apartment due to these ongoing threats.
