On October 16, 2025 at approximately 12:44 P.M., Officer Ramirez and Officer B. Johnson were dispatched to a delayed theft report from E. N., an employee at Pawn America, located at 789 53rd Avenue N. E., in the City of Fridley, Anoka County, Minnesota. On arrival, the officers spoke to E. N. Who advised that on October 15, 2025, a male, later identified as Mohamed Abdirizak Jama, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, entered the store at 6:24 P.M. While in the store, defendant concealed a Milwaukee Rotary tool priced at $349.99 and left without paying at 6:39 P.M. Defendant came back to the store on October 16, 2025 at 11:19 A.M., grabbed a Paslode nail gun priced at $179.99 from inside the store, concealed the tool in his jacket and left without paying at 11:33 A.M. Officers reviewed footage of both incidents and confirmed that it was the same suspect for both thefts, which total $529.98. Officers found that another incident occurred on October 16, 2025. Defendant and Y. M. Entered the store together.
Defendant dropped off an item at the sale counter, then Y. M. Dropped off an item he carried in at the same counter. Defendant walked away and grabbed a Paslode nail gun priced at $259.99 from a display case inside of the store, before getting back in line and walking up to Y. M. Who was still completing a transaction. Y. M. Then received the stolen tool from defendant and sold it back to the store. Y. M. Received $65 for the tool. Detective Norgaard learned that the construction tool stolen by defendant on October 15, 2025, was sold on October 16, 2025 to the Pawn America in Robbinsdale by Y. M, who received $202 for the item.
The grand total of merchandise stolen by defendant is $789.97.
